Chairs for AUB Animation Graduation film ‘The Dinner Party’
Chemiwood, Resin, Acrylic Paint, Matte top coat. 20mm x 10mm x 10mm This project was to create chairs for the stop motion characters that mirror their shape and colours. I shaped the Chemiwood using sandpaper and applying heat to bend areas with more curves. After applying a coat of resin, I painted the chairs with a ‘wooden stain effect’. The producer ended up not liking the effect of these and so I had to do a lot of repainting. It was the first time that i had to make major tweaks to a model and was a large learning curve.
